About AFCAT 2026

The Indian Air Force has released the AFCAT 1 admit card 2026 on January 22, 2026, in online mode. Candidates can download the AFCAT 1 2026 admit card by using login credentials. Earlier, the IAF announced the AFCAT 1 exam date 2026 on the official website at afcat.edcil.co.in. As per the AFCAT 2026 exam date, the exam will be held on January 31, 2025. The AFCAT 2026 application correction window was activated from December 23 to 24, 2025, on the official website.

Earlier, the IAF activated the AFCAT 1 2026 application form from November 17 to December 19, 2025 on the official website at afcat.edcil.co.in. The exam authority released the AFCAT 1 notification on November 10, 2025  IAF has scheduled to conduct the AFCAT 1 exam 2026 on January 31, 2026. 

The AFCAT 2026 exam will be conducted in two stages – an online test and an SSB interview conducted by the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB). Candidates applying for Ground Duty (Technical branch) appear for an additional Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

IAF conducts AFCAT twice a year to recruit eligible candidates as Commissioned/ Class 1 Gazetted Officers in Flying, Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical branches) and Meteorology entry for grant of Permanent/ Short Service Commission in the Indian Air Force. AFCAT is a gateway for both male and female candidates who wish to join the Indian Air Force. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the online exam as well as the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview.
